Opportunities within MNNP

We would love to have you participate in any number of different roles within MNNP! Members can access the officer elections page to see which positions will be up for election at the annual membership meeting. If you are not quite yet ready to be on the board, but are looking for ways to get involved, you can either submit a contact form, or email admin@mnnp.org and we will be in touch!

Medical Reserve Corps

The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a national network of volunteers, organized locally to improve the health and safety of their communities. The MRC network comprises 991 community-based units and almost 200,000 volunteers located throughout the United States and its territories.

MRC volunteers include medical and public health professionals, as well as other community members without healthcare backgrounds. MRC units engage these volunteers to strengthen public health, improve emergency response capabilities and build community resiliency. They prepare for and respond to natural disasters, such as wildfires, hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, and floods, as well as other emergencies affecting public health, such as disease outbreaks. Minnesota Medical Reserve Corps

Minnesota Responds is a partnership that integrates and engages local, regional, and statewide volunteer programs to strengthen public health and health care, reduce vulnerability, build resilience, and improve preparedness, response and recovery capabilities.

Local volunteer coordinators mobilize health and "non-health" volunteers to respond to emergencies and/or improve health capacity within their community, or if the volunteer is interested, within the state. Whether you work in a health field or not, active or retired, if you have an interest in assisting your community or state, we invite you to register in Minnesota Responds. Click the link above for more information.
